Milenko nodded at the second woman as she moved past him. Then, turning back to face Ashleigh, he listened to the vampiric mage's words, eyes expressing nothing of his emotions, seeming to be dead over the metal half-mask. Once Ashleigh finished, he made an expansive sweep with his arms, indicating not only the room, but the entirety of the tower and the grounds surrounding it. He said, "Madness can take many forms, my friend. An objective observer, one from a religious background, say, would say that your pursuit of power is indicative of such. That you are wrapped up in many vices, some of which are named as the Seven Deadly Sins...Gluttony, in how the more power you gather, the more you crave. Wrath, in the anger and rages you are most known for. Envy, with how you covet power that is not yours, when you see others wielding it. Lust, for obvious reasons, namely your..."appetites". Greed, for much the same reasons as Gluttony, and because of your pursuit of more power than is your due. Pride, for your attitude toward your own greatness. Sloth, for how your servants bring to you those things that you can just as readily provide for yourself.
"Yet," he said, to stay any outrage his friend might be feeling, "I do not judge you on these merits. I do not presume to judge you at all. It is not my place. Indeed, it could be said that these things are simply indicative, and a result, of your unliving condition. However, I merely present these things as simple truths that others may judge you upon." He indicated the scroll Ashleigh seemed to be attempting to draw his attention to. "For example, the magics you describe...I feel the temptation to test my will, my strength against it. I dare not, however, for I do not know what such power might do to me. I do not desire power for its own sake. I desire only enough power to accomplish my goals, no more."
Milenko didn't, couldn't know that such a statement, such a mental attitude, ran entirely counter to the persona he had had when Ashleigh had last known him. Indeed, at that time, Milenko had desired to gather enough power to regain his father's favor, and secretly wished to surpass and overthrow Lucifer in fact. Ashleigh would be aware of this fact, though, again, Milenko had no way of being aware of it.
He thought for a moment, then said, "You spoke of not harming the boy. What of the woman, then? I noticed you failed to mention her. Like Daniel, I will not bring harm to her, nor allow there to be any by another, not in this matter. The only caveat I place on that statement, as I said earlier, would be if they turn weapons against me, but I will only act to defend myself as much as necessary."

Kiera Jenkins
While the two men spoke the chatter of bats swarmed to the doorway and without nearly as much of a flashy show grew silent to allow for Kiera to walk into the Library. Without word, without even noise she moved over and stood next to Ashliegh with a cheeky smile crested over her lips. After a moment, she allowed the two men to speak before bowing politely and whispering to Ashliegh. "I was a bad girl. you're old.. acquaintance, Kenryo should be on his way. Though something strange about the man seems to be happening in his waking. I would explain it but I think it would be best your eyes see for themselves." At that she looked toward Milenko and replied then to him. "Please pardon my interuption. I wouldn't normally draw outside news into a conversation without greeting the parties properly, but this was highly important as without a blade drawn or arrow notched lives and thus dreams have been eradicated in mere minutes from just the mans presence. Here, I will reveal what I saw to you."
At that moment she held out her hand and one of the two large bats that rested on her shoulders crawled down and curled up there. After a moment she swiped her hand over the bat and in a dark hum of energy the bat shifted into an orb of demonic energy. This orb swirling and smokey soon shifted from black to white as she closed her eyes and focused. Not a moment later the scene of a distant mountain range appeared. overlooking a village that had been left decrepit and run down. As the scene unfolded Kiera spoke. "The village itself was a bustling hamlet at one point. until the man Kenryo went down to have a drink. While he drank his drink it would seem to be that the very essence of life was sucked out of everything.. people were left as husks animals that could not flee in time were shriveled into nothing. and the trees around the mountain itself were turned from vibrant thriving forests to withered dried out nightmarish images of their former selves. " After showing the orb she swept her hand over it and the bat returned to normal before climbing it's way back up on her shoulder.
So with that shown to the men Kiera looked between them both and replied. "With such a loss of active dreams, you can see why my Mother sent me to you Ashliegh. We cannot idly sit back and just allow the source of our realms strength and life giving power to be ended in this wanton amount of death." Then looking over toward the man she tilted her head to the side, even though she had grown up quite a bit there was still little bits of her youth in her. "Who's this mug anyhow? Oh umm maybe I should introduce myself. Right, sorry about that. I'm Kiera Van Carter Jenkins, though most people just call me Kiera. I'm the daughter of Ashlieghs brother, Falcora, and the Matriarch of the realm of the Jenkins Clan of Demons and Lady of Dream Scape, Samantha Jenkins... I'm, well, I'm Ashliegh's niece and well yeah I guess that makes up for something." With a shrug she stood at Ashliegh's side then and listened calmly for instruction.

Ashleigh Van Carter
Indeed...when Milenko spoke of the 'seven deadly sins'..and how much of them were reflected upon himself..the vampyric mage did get rather..vexed. So much so..that he'd look his shoulder towards the man, those crystalline eyes turning a bright red shade with a twinge of white..the interior of the tower itself, seemingly reacting to his state of mentality..crystals beginning to 'shed' from the wall in small, vibrant 'flakes'..ones, that would begin to swirl around him in a dazzling display of color..a crystalline dust tornado, would be the best way to put it. "While you say you aren't 'judging' me, Milenko..the very fact that bringing up such things in my presence..is NOT one I shall take lightly" The scroll..the one sprawled out along the wall, charting the stars and planets..began to hum and 'pulse' with a 10-second throbbing shine. "However..because it is you..and because of what you truly are..I won't take action. Besides..." He'd turn towards the man while his hands would weave themselves in intricate circles at chest height..sparks of pure Aethyr 'igniting' in the air, becoming little more then luminous colors.."I am far from my full strength..but, with the rich Aethyr here..that is a condition that shan't be holding me back for long"
Well did he catch the changed 'goal' of the angel...oh yes..he remembered quite well how badly Milenko wanted power in the past..and, what he wanted it for. Now..there was a change..one, he felt only would've come sooner or later in the mans life. Everyone changed..Angels were no exception..and, it was his belief..that Milenko had the biggest change of them all: He was positive Milenko was truly Shakaar himself..only, without his memories..a phenomena that would fancy studying..observation..and quite possibly: Results.
"Yes..Daniel, I hate to admit this..is a complete pushover. The boy has great power..he is, afterall..his fathers son. However..." His head turned to the side with a loud scoff..he made no effort in hiding his disgust..afterall, why should he?.."The boy is meek and timid. I've tasted his blood before..and it was the blood of greatness, seasoned with the bitterness of..." His hand rubbed on his chin gently..thinking..."I don't want to say cowardice..but, I'm afraid it is the only word that goes well with the boys temperment. But you get my point..great power..lacking the heart to use it..much like my own son, Jason.."
His attention soon was averted to Keira as she re-appeared..perking a brow at her intrusion. "As for the woman, Milenko..I have no care over her wellbeing..whether she lives or dies, I don't really care" It was after saying that that he'd sigh heavily.."Keira..niece..daughter to my brother, Falcora..if dreams are truly disappearing in such a manner..then surely you must realize one thing. With the snuffing of one dream by death..comes the lighting of thousands of dreams from birth. I assure you, child...your realm won't vanish..there are too many in this place who dream"

Kiera
Glancing at Ashliegh, Kiera sighed and replied with a shake of her head. "Asliegh, Uncle, Brother to my Father. I and my Mother are fully and completely aware of the rise and fall of our world of dreams. However, Mortals aren't the only ones who create dreams. Think of it this way. Even the spirits of Astral rest. The creatures upon the high heavens and the deepest pits of hell even hold dreams. If there is a spiritual bond whatever it is has dreams. Thus, that is the creation that many Demon, Angelic, and Mortal families worked together to create. The realm in which the Jenkins Clan holds as high caretakers. Ask yourself, for a family with such placement, why? Why would my Mother, a very capable and powerful woman, send me? Something is happening that threatens even the existence of dreaming creatures. We know this because of the means that our realm had no other choice but to use to exist. The Astral Plane. Without the stability of it's connection to every living and or spiritual mind, the realm of Dreams itself has no anchor to hold it together."
At that moment she looked toward Milenko and placed a hand against her forehead before she sighed and continued. "This man, just like you, Ashliegh should know how important the survival is for the Astral Plane. Without it, many worlds that are dependent on the magical powers from the Astral plane to stabilize themselves. Even the Mortal realm, this very realm would loose it's power to stay stable and uphold a natural order without the Astral Plane." At that moment she looked toward Milenko softly as she backed from the two. "I've said enough for now. this man is a stranger to me as he is. Though, appearances are quite diluted and somehow I feel I know him quite well. I need to make a few preparations, however. I feel that if I do not at the least try to make use of what energy I have at the moment, my time will be cut short." With that spoken, Kiera looked between the two and replied. "Such in the case, that you both seem to have a working knowledge of where to start, I am going to reach out to others to call to a central point of meeting. Where should I start? Because with all of the awakening I am certain questions are present and answers need to be brought together to formulate a strategy of approach. Would you not agree?"

Milenko smiled tightly behind his mask. "While a magical battle between us would indeed be a needless one," he said in a light tone that belied the fires burning in his eyes and the tightening of his fingers that caused his rings to flash, "I know when I'm being played with and do not appreciate it any more than you do being judged over your life's choices. You have told me the deal you wish to make, and I shall honor it, albeit on my own terms."
"Daniel," he continued, dismissing the tension with a wave of his hand, relaxing visibly within his robes. "He seemed to be quite the opposite of the coward you claim him. To be sure, he hides some secret fear, as well as some secret hope, but he did seem at the least sure of himself when he introduced me to my companions. Perhaps he's matured since you had your own encounter with him. Or, perhaps he's become a better actor. No matter. Tell me exactly what information you wish from him, and I will see what I can do to convince him to part with it. I lack the monetary funds I once had, but...as you've proven...each man has his price. Perhaps he will do so if I provide him with some bit of obscure information, or a service I could perform." He said that last a bit sardonically, showing his humor at the thought of becoming, in some strange way, an information broker.
He turned his gaze toward Kiera, his expression turning slightly quizzical. "The Astral Plane, you say?" he asked. "I have had few interactions with that Realm, but I understand that there are protectors, Guardians if you will. Why are they not active in the defense of their Realm?"

Ashleigh Van Carter
A toothy smirk came over him as he looked to 'Milenko'..his fingers, joined in the typical fingerhut type joining..and when 'Milenko' began speaking about a magical battle, his grin only became sharper. "That is where you are wrong, Milenko.." he stated, and began walking towards the man..."A battle of magicks between us two would be a sight worth seeing. Pure Aethyr mingled with angellic host power..oh, the earth, heavens and hell themselves would tremble! But.." He cleared his throat and walked past the man.."I digress.."
Up to a mirror he went..looking into it..no reflection he cast, he still..Milenko did, and it was to his reflection the vampyric mage was staring. "What Daniel harbors as a hope..is to find his father, whom he believes to be alive still. While he believes...I..." A hand waved over the mirror..the surface 'crashing' as waves of the ocean, rippling and spiraling..however, such was a spell that only few could divulge from..and, as the ripples began to steady and calm..there, in that mirror..was the truest reflection of whatever was in the mirrors sight. Therefore..for a precious moment or two..it would even show Milenko..as Shakaar..and the vampyre, would smirk a rather toothy grin.."Know..beyond a shadow of a doubt.." The surface flickered..only to then distill back into seeing what it had beforehand..Milenko, and perhaps Keira..
"The boy is resilient, Milenko..he will not give the information I seek to easily..especially if it is to you. Call it...a hunch..but, the stars on my scroll.." His hand would wave towards the elongated scroll along the crystalline walls.."Have told me such. However..the book he holds, is key to my goals. It holds very potent Aethyr, as well as a very powerful incantation..one, that is necessary for my spells to work. My suggestion..if he doesn't give it freely..then I suggest you beat the information out of him. Or bring him here..what's important, is that I recover my book..just as much important to me as your memories are to you, Milenko"
After speaking, he'd turn his attention towards Keira, perking a brow at her words..but, nodding as Milenko threw in his opinion. He did, however..sigh afterwards..placing a hand on his forehead as he did such. "Keira..daughter to my brother, Falcora..I know quite well what entails for danger. Your realm..as well as the Astral Plane..are indeed intertwined. However..you have to remember..I am not as well versed in powers that could affect either realms. However..I suppose..for the sake of your family..that I could look into a few spells in my present books here..and see if there's something that can be done to bolster both realms strengths. No promises or guarantees, of course..but, I'll do what I can with what I've got"

Milenko looked over Ashleigh's shoulder, a brow raising as the reflection changed. He dismissed it, however, as being perhaps some sort of magically recorded event from the past, as he didn't recognize the figure with the vampiric mage. Besides, he thought it to be irrelevant at the moment.
"I have in my employ," he said, "a thief that has been introduced to me as being quite competent, though he had been caught by the bodyguard who has also accompanied me...." At that, he trailed off, considering the implications here, the irony. Sending the very thief that the boy had encouraged him to bring along after that same boy to steal something from him? Something about that didn't feel right. "Well," he continued, "I will keep that as a reserve option should all others fail. Perhaps I could reason with him. We shall see."
With that, he drew up, placing his hand on the doorknob, "Now, Ashleigh, my old friend, if you will be so kind as to give me some idea as to where I might find the lad, I'll be taking my leave. I'm sure you have other matters to attend to." With his free hand, he indicated the waiting Kiera. "I should like to accomplish this goal as quickly as possible."

Kiera
When she heard what Ashliegh would do for her, Kiera smiled and turned to look at Milenko. "It has been wonderful to make you acquaintance Sir. Don't worry when you sleep I'm sure you'll see me once more. my kind does it's best to delve as least as we are able into the woken world. Till then, farewell.. don't sleep too lightly." With that said she offered an innocently devious smile and then turned toward Ashliegh once more. "Alright Uncle, I will leave you to your plotting of living kinds domination, or whatever it is you do all day everyday. I really need to feed... I mean there's only so much prim and proper talk I can do before I start to feel... I donno.. anyway, I will make my way toward other curious places. Would you like me to fetch you something? maybe information or something? I'm sure I can track someone down, I am my mothers child afterall." With that said she looked to her bats and they looked at her a moment, without a word spoken she smiled and watched one of the two large bats dart off as it squeaked and left the tower.

Ashleigh Van Carter
When Milenko would put his hand on the doorknob..it, in turn..would begin to shift and flow..a steady stream of Aethyr permiating from the keyhole underneath the knob, glowing with a bright white light from the other side. Continuing still to glance at the Celestial scroll that was unfurled along the 'roof' of his tower, he'd tap his chin in thought after listening to the both of them. In such thought..a single, lovely blue crystal would 'rumble' off one of the shelves..then veer towards Milenko, swirling around him as it released a 'trail' of blue crystalline dust. "If you wish to find the boy, Milenko..follow that gem. It will lead you to him..as, the blood within that gem..belongs to the child Galeed" After saying that, he'd turn to face Milenko..however, this time..there was no attempt at hiding his elongated, sharp vampyric fangs. His hand was used to rub along his own chin..and a seemingly satisfied smirk was held along his lips. "I remember the taste of his blood well..tis a shame, I had to spill some of it in order to fill that gem. The boys blood..had a very rare flavoring..innocence..with a touch of vulgarity. Quite the rare blending, if you ask me"
However, said smirk soon disappeared from his features..the scroll, beginning to beam as the marked stars on the paper began to hum and glow..each constellation charted..each sigil and star..softly illuminating. "Do whatever is in your power, Milenko..remember, that book is as important to your memories as it is to my power..or, as you so delicately put it..my nature of greed" Looking to Keira after saying such, he'd nod slowly to her. "There is one you can find out about, niece..and that would be my youngest son, Jason. I highly doubt his family is far away from him..but..they wouldn't be as defensive of him around you as they would be me"

Kiera
When she heard his words she nodded calmly and turned, where as Melinko would need to follow a gem, Kiera smirked and offered a devious wink toward Ashleigh. "Yes Uncle. I'm on the move this moment." With that said she'd laugh out wildly, her body and clothes turning the black and grey color and texture of a bat's flesh, before bursting in a pillar of the winged creatures and forming a cloud of bats circling on the ceiling. Only after a moment or two of this would the bats vanish through a cloud of quickly vanishing black smoke. Through the sky as she in the form of her bats headed toward Darkheart manner those along this path would see the flood of winged creatures and find the sounds of the bat's unnatural screeches cutting through the air, sending chills through the living souls who were lacking in equal or higher power than she. Men of religion were frozen in place as the saw the creatures and broke into frightened frenzies of prayer. Only to be left with a feeling of sadness as they were passed over. To them meaning the dark omen of such an experience was not for them but someone else.
Yet, left behind was one lone tiny bat, un-moving and in the form of a page in one of the books entitled "the hedge and the secret" There it stayed, seeming to watch the mage. in silence and not making a single action outside of staying put, the tiny creature was left behind in a means to relay it's discoveries back to Kiera. As Kiera moved toward the Darkheart manner, she manifested in the air for a moment to take hold of another bat as she spoke to it. "Home, inform the family.. the eye sits in Van Carter manner, headed to Darkheart Manor for plant 2. further update coming soon." When the message was given a tiny portal formed and the bat blured through it letting Kiera once more return to her cloud of bats and move on once more.

With his free hand, Milenko reached out and took the gem. He buried deep into his subconscious what he thought of the revelations Ashleigh had made thus far, as well as erected his own not-inconsiderable mental shielding. Given time, as well as an incredible amount of effort either magically, psionically, or physically-through-torture, Ashleigh might, perhaps, break through Milenko's mental disciplines, but it would also entail going through the battle they'd earlier agreed would be pointless, at least as of this moment.
Giving the vampyric mage a nod of gratitude, Milenko then went through the door and eventually exited the tower, quickly mounting into his wagon while Talon and Oni also made ready to leave. Once settled, he then shook the reins, sending his horses walking away from the area. He then handed over the reins to Oni, retiring to the rear of the wagon to contemplate the crystal, experimenting with it by moving it in different directions, as well as trying varying incantations to explore the limits of its power, as well as to see just how it could lead him to where he wished to go. As he did so, he kept up his mental shielding, adding to it a few spells to augment his discipline so that he might eventually sleep and not have to worry about his shielding lowering itself. He didn't put it past Ashleigh to have added in some spell or power to the crystal to allow it to probe his mind. He also searched the Weave, and the Aethyr, to determine just what other abilities the crystal might have. He suspected, after all, that if the crystal had some sort of ability to home in on the Galeed boy, it may also allow Ashleigh to track Milenko and company's own movements.

With the departure of both his esteemed guest Milenko, as well as his niece..he'd just sigh heavily. Shaking his head in a fluster as he'd look straight at the very 'book' inwhich Kiera so lovingly 'left'..he'd stare at that 'book', placing his hands behind his back and pacing infront of it. "Kiera..do you honestly believe that, in my tower..I can't tell when something has either been misplaced..or suspiciously added? I know full well the moment you left that creature there..however..." A hand went outwards..another book, however..would fly from the shelves, straight into his hand, flipping itself open. The outside cover of said book, was leather and flesh bound, stitched across very parts of the cover. The writings within said book, were written in ancient texts that glimmered and flickered every few seconds. "I will allow you to watch what I have in mind unravel itself. We are..afterall..family" A smirk ran along his lips..
Meanwhile..the examination of the crystal inwhich Milenko was 'given'..yielded that within said crystal, was a large globule of blood, but the globule itself seemed to take the shape on an arrow, and was pointing in the direction inwhich was needed to go. Surrounding said blood..seemed to be a pure, clear liquid..unfouled and shimmering. The crystal itself..upon closer looking that Milenko would no doubt partake in..along the edges and 'ghosting' around the smoothness of the gem, was the body of a teenage male, elven in appearance..his hands cupped over his chest, eyes closed..unresponsive towards anything or anyone holding the crystal. Furthermore..Milenko would probably 'sense' that the gem wasn't used for tracking or mind reading..however, it was brimming with an unknown power deep within..

Milenko thought for a moment about bringing further magic into his examination of the crystal to try and unravel the mysterious energy he sensed, but decided not to. Too much magic, especially now, would be too tiring. He simply tapped Oni on the shoulder and said, "Drive as straight a line north as possible until I say otherwise, my friend. I think I shall get a little real sleep while I can."
Oni nodded to this as Milenko disappeared back into the rear of the wagon, keeping his eyes on the road before them. He knew that they were currently headed east, but he would keep an eye out for any turns to the left that would lead them in the direction his Lord Milenko wished.
"Talon!" he called to the third member of their party. "Be wary. I do not expect much trouble in this forest, but I rather be safe than sorry." With that, he turned his attention back to their direction, finding soon that the road did indeed come to a cross-road. He turned the horses' heads to the left, taking the northward track.
Talon, for his part, felt a bit out of sorts that the foreigner should give him orders like he was naught but a lackey. Yet, still, he was promised ample recompense for his troubles, to add to what he'd already gained from the robbers that the three had fought before. Sullenly, he followed the wagon into its turn, keeping a desultory eye on the shadows around them.

Standing upon the balcony of his tower..he looked outwards into the sky..noticing, the stars aligning ever so beautifully in the heavenly sky. The scroll along the wall, began to hum and churn, glowing softly..and he would just smirk. Down below on the grounds..his miniature army of necromantic soldiers..going about their patrolling..brought an even wider smirk to him. Placing his hands on the balcony railing..he began to chant..his words, soft..yet, quaking outwards from the source..sending ripples along the Aethyr that were impossible to miss. There was..something missing..in his chanting..each word spoken, seemed to either be wrong or misplaced in the 'threads' of his spell. Nevertheless..he continued..his voice becoming a menacing hiss in the darkness..seeping over land, sea and sky alike.
Crystalline dust and elemental sparks..flickered and shaped atop his tower..creating a vibrant light display that caused the tower itself to flicker and glint beautifully..his eyes, whilst chanting..growing black and threatening.
