Dimitri:
In keeping with his form as a "gentleman's gentleman", Dimitri hid his amusement without even a quirk to his lips as the children of Lady Darkheart showed their concern for their mother. He followed the troupe as they helped Morrigan to her seat, giving a sharp, knowing glance at the pillar Jason hid behind, a faint kindly smile upon his lips.
Once she'd taken a seat, Dimitri called upon one of the powers those with servants worth their salt swear their butler has, and produced a simple beaten copper goblet from seemingly nowhere. Surreptitiously, he slid his sleeve up to expose his wrist. A quick nick with a well-manicured nail along the vein there later, and he was bleeding into the cup. Once the goblet was filled, he wiped along the cut with a single finger, leaving his flesh unbroken. Wiping the drop of blood onto the lip of the cup, he then set it at Morrigan's elbow with a slight bow. In this human form, his diluted Glory would not destroy any undead, and he was perfectly aware of what effect it would have upon her and others of her kind.
Stepping back again, he said, "I apologize for my untimely visit, my Lady. However, things are in motion that must be properly monitored, otherwise a calamity similar to the designs of Ludious would befall every being in this world. Allow me to explain..."
...At the end of the Ludious Wars, Shakaar Galeed had gone into the core of the planet, where Ludious had sent ki-energy orbs set to explode violently upon the death of the physical body he was inhabiting at that time. Ludious, confident in his "deadman's switch" gambit, began a final showdown with Kokukai, the last remaining Guardian of the Astral Realm, the rest of that order having been defeated and destroyed at the beginning of the war. There, in the center of the Earth, Shakaar absorbed the energy of the orbs, his flesh and muscle being flayed from his skeleton by the combination of molten rock and the energies he was trying to contain. It was during this time that Kokukai, in order to save his adoptive "sister", Elenlas, killed Ludious' body. Ludious, being a purely Astral entity, however, was not destroyed by this. Unfortunately, Shakaar had not yet absorbed all of the energy from the orbs, which exploded in what remained of his face, reducing him further to a skeletal form. However, thanks to his being an angel, as well as the energies he'd absorbed, he was able to not only survive the explosion, but also the resulting volcanic eruption that had flung him out from the core.
Meanwhile, Ludious had escaped to the Astral Plane, followed closely by Kokukai and Elenlas. There, Ludious and Kai had their truly final battle. Both taking the forms of dragons, Kai black, Ludious white, they tore into one another with the fate of the Multiverse being in the balance. Ludious...fell short of victory, rather literally.
He had hit what passed for the ground in the Astral Plane, his life nearly spent. As a last-ditch effort to cause pain to Kai, knowing that his own death was eminent, Ludious attempted to bite Elenlas, who had come over to make sure he was dead. Kai interposed his body between his sister and the death that approached her, taking the venomous bite in her place. Unlike Ludious, Kai was mortal and unable to take a new body, therefore dying in short order after his foe did.
Shakaar, meantime, had began to attempt to use the stolen energies from the orbs to repair the damage done to the bodies of those killed during the conflict on Earth after it had moved there from world known as Reyan. However, he lacked the power to bring them back to the realm of the living. His determination to right what went wrong was so strong, however, that he imbued his own life force into his efforts, finally succeeding at the cost of his own existence.
However, he was not destroyed. God, having seen that Shakaar had honestly repented his former hatred of humanity, and had performed an ultimate act of redemption, made the decision that He would give Shakaar one last chance to regain his former identity of Gabriel and once more become His right hand. He was sent back to Earth, in his once-mortal form, named Milenko, with no memory of the last 25 years of his life. Currently, he is visiting with one Ashleigh Van Carter, trying to find some clue as to his missing memories. As well, all evil was removed from his essence upon his death, that part of him fleeing into the world and inhabiting a mortal. Which one, only God knew, leaving the Host unaware of what quarter a potential threat may come from....
"...And that is why I fear there may be a new threat on the horizon, Lady Darkheart," Dimitri finished. "Perhaps more than one, if God's plan backfires."

Morrigan Darkheart
How she hated succumbing to the inevitable weakness of thirst..her desire for blood, and yet..she had pushed herself already. Perhaps not the most graceful of decisions..but, she felt her family in danger..a lack of blood was inconsequential at that point. However..now that the 'threat' was discovered to be a friend..she could relax, and indeed..she dropped her guard..not fully, but enough so that she could be helped to a seat. When she did sit..it wasn't exactly lady like..what was the point at present, when surrounded by family and the servant of a long time ally?
"Thou art too kind, my beloved daughter" she'd state to Alexis while looking to her, though it wouldn't be hard for Alexis to tell just how much she was straining herself..even just to do something as simple as hold her head up. Even for a Vampyress..she was paler then normal. From the corner of her eyes, she looked over towards Darius, nodding slowly to him. "Take care of thyself, son..if thou doesth find trouble, return home immediately"
Looking towards Dimitri..and even more curiously at the cup he had produced..as well as literally smelling the sweet succulent blood coming from him that was being pooled into that cup..her tongue ran along her lips in a most hungered manner. Suffice to say..the offered cup was indeed taken..and with no hesitation or caution..she drank from it quick and surely, the vibrance of the blood tickling the back of dry, awaiting throat. It was..more or less..the epitomy of bad manners..she drank it quick without a care towards what those gathered might've thought of her or her lack of etiquette. The world be damned..blood was offered..and she'd not let herself be denied from such a meal, especially when it came from a source that she believed, deep down..to be himself, angellic.
Holding the cup as a child would..with both hands on either side..when Dimitri spoke of the 'current events' that were currently ongoing, she stopped drinking long enough to listen. Bad manners were already displayed..no need to further display more by ignoring her guest. The Darkheart were known for their hospitality..even with a ready meal at her disposal..she had to put aside the hunger long enough to not seem rude. "So..the cast out evil t'was embedded into another host? And said host..knows not of what he or she possesses? Tis a troubling scenario thou hast presented to me and my house, Dimitri.." She'd sigh softly after speaking, then take another sip from the cup before continuing.."And thou doesth say Shakaar..nay..Milenko, as he is now..tis with Ashleigh? Doesth thou think that Ashleigh knows of his trueness..who Milenko t'was long ago?"
A glance went over towards Alexis after she finished speaking..a hint of worry to her..but then she'd look back to Dimitri a moment later. "And Kai..tis..a tragedy, indeed..my son looked up to him..and though Kai and I hast fought in the past over foolishness on my part..well doesth my respect be with him even now"
Jason Van Carter
When Dimitri looked over towards him as he hid behind the pillar, he'd smile shyly in return..however..the sudden announcement of Kai..his death..it caused him to gasp, clutching his chest with both hands. Tears began to stream down his face..bloody tears..shaking his head slowly. "You're...you..no way! I don't believe it! Kai can't be dead! That's impossible! YOU'RE LYING!" Stepping out from behind the post..his arms now at his sides..blood red trails of 'smoke' began to ignite around his clenched fists.."Kai wouldn't..no..COULDN'T...just up and die like that..he was invincible! If he were dead..then how am I still alive?!"
His mother would look over at him quickly.."Jason..tis enough!"..to which, he'd reply.."No, mother..it's not enough! I don't believe Kai is dead..otherwise, I would've known..and I wouldn't be here. Remember..me and him were connected..our life force, that is!"

Alexis
Listening to the words spoken, she'd shake her head and glance to the side as she thought calmly. Before long her eye, swirling with spiraled clouds of white within the blue that were like the sky itself she'd place a hand on Morrigan's shoulders before she spoke. "As you're only surviving student and adopted child, Mother, allow me to be your hand and eyes until you're body recovers. If need be to deliver this news to the expanded masses that knew the man, I will do just that by your name." That said she looked toward the man and bowed her head gently toward him before she addressed his words. "I thank you for the news of the men, Kai and Shakaar. Should it be my mothers wishes I am sure that our houses hospitality could be opened to you." At that moment she moved over to Jason and rested her hand upon his shoulder with her eye locked on him with steeled resolve. "Jason, Brother, most loved of all the Darkheart children. Please, your anger reflects your unsettled situation. Calm your heated rage, it's not Mothers fault that this news has been brought. Just as much as it's not the man's fault for bringing it. If your friend is no more and you feel that it is false, then deliver proof. Don't bark at others for your shock." With that she nodded toward Morrigan with a thought of assistance and pulled Jason to a hug.
With the hug she tries to do her best to soothe Jason's emotions, attempting to hold him close. Unlike any normal human or average mortal being this act was much different as her very existence was simple for Jason to hear at them being this close together. Her "Heartbeat" was magical in the sense that there was really no beat to it. There wasn't the sound of blood being pumped, or the thumps of a vessel of muscle tissue and tendons convulsing against liquids being pushed and guided through veins. In fact it sounded more like the gentle sounds of winds on the plains rustling through miles of tall grass. There was a sort of simple peace to this sound and as her hands gently guided Jason to her shoulder she held Jason close enough to offer him warmth of her body as she once more spoke. "Now then. without a centered mind your thoughts, your focus on the world around you can not be kept. Even in the most fearful times of your life, remember that your focus and mental control is key to staying balanced in all things. Listen to Mother, Jason, she would not guide you without reason."
Darius
When he heard the words of his mother he smirked softly and glanced around the room toward all the others there. "I'll be alright Mom, besides if a fight breaks out." At that moment he held up his magically powered machine arm and nodded. "lefty and I can certainly handle ourselves. Though, on the off chance that something too big and bad for even me pop's up I promise, I'll come back without a moments wait and seek you all out." With that said he nodded to Alexis and Jason and smiled before rushing out the door and out toward the world outside. For a moment he paused though and closed his eyes to listen. "She's bound to be somewhere... I hope that we haven't been asleep that long that she hasn't survived. Bah! what am I talking about, Christian I'm coming to you. Wherever you are hiding yourself that is." he said to himself before turning and heading toward the village first.

Dimitri:
Dimitri gave the slightest of upturned lips as he watched Morrigan unashamedly "wolfed" down the "donation" he'd made to her health. A kind expression in his eyes denied any feelings of offense at her supposed bad manners as he said to her, "Indeed, Ashleigh knows that Milenko is Shakaar. Among the fully-mortal...and those that are not quite so...he is but one of few that know that information. As of a few moments ago, Milenko has made it to Ashleigh's tower, and Ashleigh is even now playing a dangerous game by toying with him. Interestingly, Ashleigh wishes to send him after Shakaar's son, Daniel, and his mother, Beatrice. It seems he seeks information regarding your son, Jason." With that, he locked eyes with the lad he'd just named, then added, "I trust having such current knowledge is sufficient to, at least, improve upon your belief in my tale?"
He fell silent for a moment, then turned toward Morrigan again and said, "I apologize for bringing such bad news to your home, my Lady, but it had to be told. The danger I spoke of comes from mortal-kind, otherwise the Host would simply deal with it in our own way. A tainting of a mortal soul such as this comes up short against the fact that they are vested with free will...even you and your family, undead and not quite mortal as you are now...and it falls upon the mortal to decide what he or she does with the feelings and effects that come with the curse. He or she may end their life, they may use it to raise themselves to power, or they may simply deny the thoughts and prejudices it causes in them to have any purchase on their will. And, being that mortals have free will, and since it's a choice whomever it has been infused into, the Host are forbidden to interfere. This is the limit of what action can be taken by any of us. We are forbidden even to warn Daniel or Beatrice of the search for them, at least directly. He is a Nephalim. And, Beatrice...She was the initial instrument of Shakaar's turn from his own father's evil path."
He'd intentionally turned the subject away from Jason's assertion that he would have known about Kai's death through the connection they had once shared. It was for the boy's mother to divulge the truth of that matter to him, not Dimitri.
To Alexis, he bowed slightly and said, "I thank you for the kindness of your offer of hospitality, Mistress Windfair-Darkheart, but I must decline. I must depart before the hour's out, I have duties I must attend."

Morrigan Darkheart
Listening to the conversations..moreso to Dimitris' explaination then anything..and the Ladys demeanor had remained unwavering. Though by the sounds of it..what the kindly gentleman was explaining..it might've been perhaps world changing..she never once lost her composure. She was..afterall, a Den mother to her own clan..and so many times in the past, when tragedy fell over a clan..it was from the head of the clan giving into baser human emotions. Fear..being the worse of them all...
Window panes and shutters suddenly flew open, slamming themselves into the base of either their own or other windows..a subtle, soft breeze bellowing through the once void and dead halls of the Darkheart Manor. Whispers on the wind..the kind that herself and Alexis would and could pick up on..the 'voice' of the wind itself, bathing cool warmth around the decrepit manor. A sigh came from her as this happened, her head resting on the knuckles of her right hand, which had the arms elbow propped on the side of her throne.
"Dimitri..thine words..tis treacherous situation, indeed. Such a tainted corruption, loose upon the world..and we, unable to tell who tis the earthly bearer of such. Furthermore.." Her words cut off abruptly as she leaned forward on her throne.."Ne'er didst I say that I believed thee naught, Dimitri. Thou art a servant to an old ally of my clan..believing thee naught t'would be disrespectful to thee and thine Masters house. As for Ashleigh and Shakaar..they hast fought to standstills before in the past..howe'er.." She leaned back yet again, sighing loudly while unclipping her coat, and then she stood..wobbly, but..not so much as before.."If Shakaar tis used by Ashleigh against the boy Daniel and his mother..then surely, the Darkheart clan canst bring them here for refuge. Though I am nowhere near as strong as either of them..and t'would face a losing battle..if but one innocent canst be saved from the monsters throat..then I t'would do it, as Shakaar hast helped with my youngest in the past"
Walking over towards Dimitri to stand infront of him with paced steps..she'd smirk as sweetly as she could..though, given her fangs..might've come off just a smidge menacing. Well..to humans it would've, anyway.."As for the vessel inwhich said curse will lay..if he or she tis found, then t'would be for the best to keep both eyes upon him or her, t'would it not be?"
Jason Van Carter
When Alexis ventured up to him, he'd look to her with tears streaming down his face..those tears, however..seemed to evaporate after 'popping'..leaving behind a tiny amount of heat signature that lingered around them for a few seconds, then cooled. "It's not true..Kai is alive..I just..know it, Alexis" he'd whisper softly, then turn away from her, and began walking up the stairs in a rather sulking manner. He couldn't be there right now..nor did he want to be..maybe, just maybe..he could do..something..in order to find Kai. Maybe..he could open the Astral Gate..and go off to search for Kai! Yes..and bring him back..that would prove to everyone that not only Kai was alive..but that he himself wasn't as inept at magick as his father thought him to be!

Dimitri:
Dimitri evinced a thoughtful expression, his eyes unfocused, as though communing with some unseen presence with his mind. He then nodded. "The Host, while unaware of specifically who are aware of the fact that the evil taint was instilled into the soul of one that Shakaar rescued from the clutches of untimely death, as was his prerogative, given his status as Death incarnate. Yet, that narrows it down but a very little. A full 9 out of 10 mortal lives were snuffed out by Ludious and his mechanations. Only perhaps half of those were brought back, leaving only perhaps 4 of 10 on the mortal plane to pick their lives back up where they'd left off. So, that leaves some hundred million, give or take several tens of millions, to investigate." He returned her kindly smile with one of his own, one that was very slightly colored by his sardonic-seeming words.
He watched as Jason went upstairs as he said, "The taint would have sought out one with the most capacity to make use of the unnatural urges it would impart. Someone who is no stranger to murder, ideally. Certainly someone with power." Turning his gaze back to Morrigan, he added, "Not to change the subject, my Lady, but I would suggest not letting your son out of your sight. It is he that his father searches for, he whom his father is sending Milenko to find, ultimately. Whether he knows it or not, whether you know it or not, if Ashleigh gains control over him...Well, let us just say that we are fresh out of Kokukai's to take down a multiverse-spanning threat again."
At that, he glanced aside again as though listening. With another nod, he stepped back from Morrigan, then bowed. "I am afraid I must depart, my Lady. You have as much warning as the Host intends to give to you and your family. I am needed elsewhere at this time. Please, if you can, intercept Milenko before he locates Shakaar's lost son and former wife. If you can, turn him away from his alliance with Ashleigh. There is much more at stake than he is aware. Also, I must impart that what we've discussed, Milenko's true identity in particular, must remain secret from him, at least at this time. He must come to realize it for himself, else all effort has been wasted."
On his way to the door, he paused, glancing up the stairs. He had a feeling that he knew what Jason intended, but he could not spare the time to explain to the lad that Kokukai was dead and beyond recall. That his soul had not ascended to Heaven as should have been his reward for his self-sacrifice.
That Kai's soul was being held in suspension for a specific reason.
He exited the manor, then extended his will to the very shadows surrounding the front of the manor. With them, he deepened the darkness between himself and those inside, insulating them from the brilliance of his Glory when Dimitri once more took on the seven-winged form of Metatron and shot skyward....

Morrigan Darkheart
"Tis ev'r more a dire situation, truly.." was all she could reply with..however, she hadn't let it shake her..afterall, the Matriarch of the Darkheart Clan was, if nothing else..a rock, for which her children looked up..as an example..and as a mother. To lose faith and hope from one bit of overly..neigh..terribly, bad news..was to surrender the fight before it truly began. Thus why..she stood from her throne, her hand immediately placed upon the hilt of her katana, which began to glow and seethe with intense mental energies. Drawn from the scabbard, she held the enchanted blade with the tip pointed downwards, letting it gently touch upon the floor. Her eyes..that seething surge of psychic energies..engulfed around her completely. The blood that Dimitri so kindly 'donated'..giving her back a portion of her once former strength. "Then shall it be known thus, Dimitri..the Darkhearts shall stand ready against whomever t'would be the herald of doom that thou doesth speak of..whoever it may be..and my children, know of this..for my mind shalt touch theirs..and transmit all to them"
The blade was sheathed a moment later..and she began walking towards her guest..her steps, decadent and sumptuous..she was becoming the woman she once was, and once more blood was within her..then her full power restored..and woe to the enemies of the Darkheart clan and its allies. "Worry not, old friend..my son, tis no fool..he knows that whilest he believes it not that Kai be gone to us..t'would be a fools errand to search for him in the Astral Plane. At least..." Her own glare went towards the stairs.."Tis the hope of a mother"
"Oh, and worry not o'er Shakaar and the child Galeed, Dimitri. When my strength fully returns..then, shalt I make my way out into the world..find the child Galeed and his mother..and bring them here for their own protection, even if t'would be necessary to bring them kicking and screaming. Tis the least I can do..and as for Ashleigh, that foul worm..my katana shalt bite into his flesh if he tries touching MY son.."
She'd nod slowly as Dimitri spoke of leaving..then, saw him to the door, closing it shut behind her after he was outside. Her mind..so delicately..reached outwards, to the minds of her children, whispering softly...~My children..what thou shalt glean from thy mother..tis truth. Feel my thoughts..be one with them..and, decide upon thyself, what the clan shalt do against this new threat~ Thusly, was the entire conversation replayed from memory..a thing vampyres were well known for..into the minds of her children..

Alexis
Stood silent, having spoken to Jason and heard his reaction. She sighed softly and looked back toward Morrigan with a calmed stare. "Mother, I fear that you would know better than anyone what goes through Jason's mind. Sadly I can only see what his actions will tell. though, looks like he may have something devious and silly lost in the turmoil of his thoughts at the moment. I am simply ready to make the next move. I've not had a good reason to extend my talents and training in quite sometime. So with that said would you wish your daughter to move in to acquire the Sunian Clans attention. Or, would you rather I take the location of the Galeed boy and his mother?" that said Alexis smirked and crossed her arms over her torso, waiting to hear the next move.

Morrigan Darkheart
Agreeing with her daughter about her youngest son and the mechanations of his mind..she would as well glance towards the direction inwhich he disappeared to. However, after a moment..she would sigh loudly then return her sight to her daughter. Standing from her throne, she walked down the small steps, and once close enough to Alexis, she'd pat her on the shoulder gently.
"Alexis..the next move, tis important for us all. T'would be better to divide our forces..especially if we're to relay messages such as the ones we bare. Tis why..thou shalt go to the Galeed child..if I am not mistaken, and I hope I am not..he shalt probably be with his mother, wherever she may be. I shalt concentrate my focus..then head out to find the Sunains..and hope Tracius remembers the pact between our two families"
Renault..the faithful servant..at that point, entered into the main hall..behind him, two or three people, seemingly charmed by their expressions. "M'lady Morrigan..this young people were caught snooping around the manor, and were using fire magicks. What should I do with them?" She, after hearing that..would roll her eyes, then part her cloak off her chest, placing a hand on her hip afterwards. "Alexis..go now to the Galeed child..warn him of the danger. These juveniles present a chance to regain my strength quicker" After saying that, she'd look to her servant..then do the 'come hither' finger.."I'll handle them..I hunger..and tis a most appropriate timing they young had"

At the moment she heard her mothers words, she nodded and placed a hand momentarily on Morrigans as her shoulder was patted. "Right away, Mother." With that said as the outsiders were brought in Alexis nodded and mode her way toward them, only to "explode" in a burst of shimmering winds. Upon that time she was gone, away with a quickness that only she was capable of producing in such a fashion.

Morrigan Darkheart
With the departure of her daughter, the Vampyress was content on feeding..the youths that had the audacity to 'mark' her ancestral home in such a manner..their punishment: their blood in her throat. Not taking long to drain the youngsters..once done, her fingers dipping into the blood pooled on her lips, only to be licked by a sensual tongue.
But now it was time to depart..the Sunains needed to be contacted, and it would've been best to save her reserves of mental strength. Besides..it had been awhile since she'd been on the open road. It was time to see the countryside again..see the changes..
"Jason..stay home, where Renault can watch thee" she said aloud..though, not to much avail. What she had feared was true..the moment she spoke to him..was the moment he had decided to walk into a portal of blood.
Straight into the Astral Plane..
Sighing loudly..she'd shake her head and make her way towards the doors of Darkheart Manor, pushing them open..and, with a gust of wind kissing around her frame, she'd whisper "Stay safe, my children"..before disappearing from sight, leaving only a small twister in her wake
