The Keep..it was just how he remembered it in his dreams..at least that much as consistant, and how thankful he was. Change wasn't exactly something he cherished..but on the other hand..he looked forward to it. A contradiction..but, such was the mind of a former slave, so used to certain concepts.
He had hoped his entrance would've gone unnoticed..just incase important things were being discussed..he didn't want to be the reason people stopped with their discussions. But it seemed..his entrance was foreseen. The moment Malachi welcomed him, he'd nod slowly to the man, both hands taking ahold of the hood of his cloak, and pulling it back. Emerald green eyes drank in the form of the drowish man..and he was about to say something, whenever Hart pulled a rather funny, childish slide down the stairs. He laughed lightly, shying away abit..but, when the hand came to be on his shoulder..it gave him a newfound sense of confidence. Sure..they were assassins, and it was something he had trouble conceding towards...but, in the end..they were as close to family as he could remember.
"It's good to see you, Hart..Malachi..Tracius..." his emerald eyes peered ever further past them, towards Veronika, bowing his head to her. ~Always remember to bow your head to a woman, cur~ he remembered, from so long ago..the old words of one of his more..abusive..Masters. "Lady Veronika" he'd state, before moving towards the direction that said meeting would be taken place in. Once there, keeping his cloak closed around him..he'd use just a twinge of magic to place his three staves in a triangle around him..and then, he'd sit.
"I'm sorry that I'm late everyone..I would've been here sooner, but I had to stop and find my old cache. Honestly..I never thought this day would've happened again"

She smiles as he takes her hand carefully inside his strong one. Nods and them go upstairs, as she walks in the room she notices Savance presence and smiles, the call for all memebers is working, they are coming , maybe it will take sometime, but soon she is sure they will be all here, as they entered the room Tray releases her hand and walks to his place, she observes...around her there are real men, fighters, survivers. She watches Savence as he bows, she tries a smile and bows in return, he just called her Lady...she smiles a little more and says gently, "My Lord..Savance", she silently sits down and waits as she watches. Without a word, since words were all she got, she sits down and waits her brothers talk. She observes them to move around the room, thinking she will have to pratice, she was wondering who Tray would ask to teach her. After sometime the conversation starts, she keeps herselsf quiet, paying attention in each word. Now there were more important things for them to handle than her, and she must to respect their moment.

As he moved toward a chair, Tracius extended a hand and gave each member a comradely clasp to the shoulder, even Malachi, expressing his gratitude for their concern and support with a gentle smile. Sitting, he said to Savance, "Worry not about your 'lateness', my brother. There are one or two members still yet unaccounted for. Either they will come to the call, or they won't. If they won't, we must assume them to be casualties of Ludious and his followers, or perhaps some other foe."
After a moment of silent thought about the possible ramifications, both of what he had just said, and what he was about to say, he continued grimly, "It seems that there has been some corruption of my Wild Magics, one that has just begun to extend into my usage of normal magical offensive spells. It seems that defensive ones, or at least non-offensive spells, and items are not yet affected, but there's a chance that that may change. The corruption's effect is that not only do their effects and duration are greatly enhanced, spreading beyond their intended target to include even innocents, but also drives me to brutal, almost sadistic extremes. Savance, as I explained to the others, I accidentally slaughtered not only a group of men that had attacked me, but everyone in the tavern, and the inn rooms upstairs, as well. Even the women and children that were present were not spared."
He sighed, struggling to control the upsurge of emotion. Once he was able to, he spoke once again, "I had originally intended to step down as the leader of the Sunain. One of our most basic tenants, the one that we can never break, is that we do not ever target innocents. Hart, Very, and Malachi have convinced me that it would indeed be the wrong thing to do. However, that does not decrease the danger I present. So, what must be done is to find the cause of the corruption and purge it from me. I could simply stop using magic, that would seem to eliminate the problem, but not completely. I limit the use of offensive magic to being just on a "need-to" basis. However, just summoning my Heaven's Reaver, my version of our Clan's signature weapon, is enough to trigger the effects. Not to mention the fact that with the corruption spreading beyond my Wild Magics, there's nothing to suggest that it will limit it to only taking effect during magic use.
"I cannot make this searching for the cause and cure an order," he said. "I can only ask you, my family, for help in this."

The mention of such a travesty..the slaughter of innocents..caused him to gasp softly, sitting back fully in his chair with his hands over his mouth. His eyes were widened..again, an assassin he might've been..but, in the end..he still valued lives..even if those lives were of those whom he'd have to kill.
However..what wasn't well known..was that while he reacted in such ways..he honestly had, over the long span of time..grown and matured in the art of death dealing. Contracts and bounties were just practice to him..and his normal means of getting close to his targets..noone would've suspected a slave was capable of anything so..disgusting..oh yes, his cache was actually a slave outfit, one he wore whenever it was time to do the deed.
"Tracius..I am so sorry, old friend.." he'd state, his voice and tone truly apologetic..there was no misdirection there.."I've never heard of such a condition though..corruption of magick. If I may ask..." He'd lean forward, holding the elvish cloak around him closed.."When did it start..and where were you when it began? Perhaps..that may be a sign or clue as to what might be causing this..phenomenom"
Crossing his right leg over his left knee, his hands went to the armrests of the chair he sat upon..which, by that time..had begun to have a small 'invasion'..roots, from below the chair..were climbing upwards like climbing ivy.."As for your stepping down, Tracius..I agree..it would be a very bad idea. At least we of the Clan can possibly help you...and, if necessary..keep you under watch, incase it happens more frequently"

He sat there patiently listening to everyone in the room. Tracius had asked him to fill in some blanks, but to himself he knew what he had been a part of was of little importance. They saved their sister from some thugs, the end. He was more concerned with what was happening with Tracius. It couldn't be a worse situation for him. The tenats almost make it now that he's fighting with one hand behind his back. If every time he casts a spell the blow back could out weigh any help. And now with effects killing others it could mean that even ally could possibly be at risk. He worried, for about a half a second.... Then let out a loud sudden laugh. "Brother, come on... You know damn well I'm along for the ride. We've put our lives on the line for coin... random matters of right and wrong. But I think I can speak for everyone here that risking our lives for family... we all are willing to do." He then looked among them on last time before turning his gaze back to Tracius... "Your will, my hands..."

"Thank you, my family," Tracius replied to the generous offers of aid from his brethren. "As for when this started, Savance, I only noticed it when my...'incident' occurred. However, it was the first time I'd used my Wild Magics since I was brought back to life after the Ludious Wars ended."
He thought for a moment about what he'd just said, then realized that some explanation was necessary. "When Ludious sent a minion to assault the Keep, I was forced to bring down one of the catacombs beneath it to destroy him. I sacrificed my life doing this, preventing any further loss of life among the Clan. However, I was brought back by, I believe, Shakaar Galeed, whom some if not all of you know. I have not heard anything from him since then, though, and there are some rumors that he is dead as well now."
He looked around at each of the Sunains in turn, then said, "I do not know if that had anything to do with it or not. Either way, there is an order that I feel I must give. If I should ever lose control to the point of being a direct threat to the family, or you cannot bring me back from the brutal madness when it grips me, you must end my life, permanently. Cremate my corpse to be sure. You would be doing more than preventing your own deaths, or the deaths of innocents. You will be putting my soul to rest, ridding it finally of the outside influence that twists and torments it until it makes me hate all of mortal-kind."
He paused a moment, then added, "Thus, we must also decide here and now who shall succeed me should this come to pass."

As Tray asks she sits down, observing all those people insede the room, at first Savance, he is so different now, as Tracius starts talking she remais quiet , saying nothing even because they were talking about things she can't understand, she knows some girls are also great warriors, but she was so distant for all this, after a moment Hart starts talking and she looks at him, and then back to Tray, when he finishes she lows her eyes, after sometime she looks at Tray again and sighs.."Who else are we expecting to return, Tray?" She asks, her voice is low and they all can realize she is completly lost, "I am not the best person here to decide, I can't even make a choice, I...It's so insane to me, sorry, I don't think there is someone good enough to reply you, to assume us, to take care of all as you do, but it's my opinion, for sure Hart, Savance, and Malachi, they will take this decision , whatever you all decide I am with you." saying nothing else she looks at Hart and tries a smile, wondering, then she folds her arms , moving her eyes to the window watching the horizon, lost in thoughts and what else is going to happen to her and this family.

"Perhaps, brother..." he'd state while standing from his chair..the three staves, would rattle and shake..until, they'd ascend from the floor and rest upon his back.."I could possibly try to heal the..whatever it is..within you that is driving you to such means. While waiting for the call of the family..I studied the ways of nature more thoroughly..maybe there's a way to heal the sickness out of you?"
Part of him felt..weird..saying such..given a family of assassins, it was hard to admit that in his time away..he had studied healing magicks. But..now..he felt perhaps, amidst the unease..he could possibly be useful. Sure..he was no grand assassin like the others..and honestly disliked the thought of taking lives..but, he did it nonetheless..and had become rather good at it, despite his personal conflicts. "As for Shakaar..I haven't heard or seen him in so long, brother..perhaps, he is still alive..but healing after the whole ordeal with Ludious? It would make sense, afterall..given how hellbent the man was"
When Tracius spoke about the incident inwhich he 'died'..he'd sigh softly, standing next to the man as he sat (or stood)...placing a hand on the mans shoulder. "Well..past is past, brother..you're alive, and that's what most important. Now..if you wish, I can try to use a couple of healing spells I know..I don't know if they'll work, but it wouldn't hurt to try, right?"
Not about to go into talking about succession..he'd look around to the others, nodding slowly.."Right?"

He listened closely as his family all took their turns. He wasn't surprised by any of their responses, they were all filled with love and optimism. He caught Very's smile as she glanced at him, he returned it with a soft smile of his own. Listening to Savance talk about trying to heal Tracius he lowered his head again. He knew his brother ment well, but this wasn't something you could just heal. "Savance, his body is well... you mean well brother but that's not what's going to fix this." Looking back to Tracius he replayed the order of ending his life should the day come. He couldn't help but get a pit in his stomach, the thought of driving his blade threw the man who played such a huge role in his life... The thought was unbearable.
Swallowing hard, he finally responded to it. "Tracius, you ask us to end your life when that time comes. To kill our leader...." He glanced around the room from person to person trying to estimate where they were with this. Taking in a deep breath, he nodded. "If that is the order, I will carry it out. Only when there is absolutely no other option." He has always been somewhat understanding to situations like this. He understands that sometimes hard decisions have to be made, he just prayed that it wouldn't come to that. That the family he's been searching for could remain together and reclaim it's glory. "Now if any of you have issue with me supporting our leaders request, speak your piece now.."

Amber eyes flicked across each "official" member of the family's faces, keeping his own expression absolutely still. Inside, he railed against Savance and Veronika for speaking against Tracius' wishes. Kenryo had the right idea, at least on the surface, though. He cleared his throat for attention. "I may not be an actual member of the Sunain, and therefore no actual voice or vote here" he began, his own private feelings about that matter just as hidden as his feelings about the two younger Sunain's milksop-like ways were. "But, I think Tracius is correct. A new leader should be at least discussed. It would not do for the clan to disband just because of his death, if it should come to that. I also put forth that we should also agree that the deathblow should come at the hand of that successor. If they're to have the strength to accomplish that, surely they should have the strength to hold us...you, that is...together as the same family unit you are now."
He looked into Tracius' own green-eyed gaze and said, "You are formidable, my old friend, so be wise in confirming the choice your family makes as to your heir. For he or she will also have to be your killer. They will have to be able to counter or resist your magics on top of your more physical fighting ability."

Tracius inhaled deeply in a sigh. "Malachi," he said. "I understand your frustrations at being denied entry into the Clan, but you understand my reasons why. Indeed, it was only because of Winter that you ever became associated with us in the first place. However, you have become my friend since then, and you've been welcome even after her loss."
"However," he continued, turning his attention to the family at large, "I think he is correct. Whomever is decided to take my place must be both strong in body and in heart, one that you will all accept as my heir, as well as you must choose one who is also strong enough to defeat me should I turn against even you. There is also the question you must consider of choosing one you trust to be my murderer in pursuit of what is best for the family, not simply for the acquisition of power over the Clan. Malachi, you are not a member of the clan, but your vote will count in this, for you are among those I consider my closest and most trusted advisers." He indicated the other three in the room as he said that last, indicating the level of love and trust he had for them all. "I have had my issues with trust in the past, as you all well know. In our business, trust is a weapon that is dangerous held in the hand of an enemy, after all."
He turned toward Savance, addressing his offer of healing, "It is not a malady of the body, I fear, my brother. It is something in my spirit, my mind, or perhaps even in my soul. I don't know. But, if you wish to make the attempt, I wish to allow you to do so. You never know," he added. "It may work."

Veronika’s eyes slowly move towards Malachi, stares at him; she frowns as his words invade her ears, trying to keep herself quiet, because she knows Tracius would never forgive her if she treats that man, Malachi, without manners. Her eyes full of tears as she bites her lowers lips inside holding and swallowing the words, her throat burning as she does, with clenched fists her burning and teared eyes invade Malachi ones, she barely breaths. As Tracius starts talking, her eyes do not move an inch, but when Tracius looks at them her eyes move to his, tears were literally rolling over her face. As soon as Tray stops talking Very says, her voice was low, husky and full of pain “As I said before, whatever you ALL decide…” She looks to Malachi, and then back to Tracius “I am with you, but, for sure, you are all wiser enough to completely forget about me being this one you will choose, and even my name is going to be voted I am already renouncing, I do not want to be you” sighs “I don’t want to be the Heir , I meant”. Her eyes moves to Malachi again as she lifts one brown and says, “I am sure you weren’t even considering me , right?” she gives a step aside and keep herself close to Hart, almost taking his hands on hers, he could even listen her heart beating as she approaches a little …. “I believe that Tray already know who is able to take his place. So would be nice if he could start, if I know him a little bit for sure he already have a name ” her eyes moves from Tray to Malachi and then she looks to Savance, a slightly almost sarcastic smile over her lips, she folds her arms her eyes returns to Tray as she waits for them to decide.

Part of him couldn't believe they were having this conversation..then again, overall..he realized that it was, indeed..the right choice. He had only offered healing because it was a member of the family..but, in the end..even his healing probably wouldn't have worked. His skills were..to put it best..only at a novice level, and healing of the calibur he was speaking would've needed an expert. He wasn't fit for it..and he realized that quite quickly.
The three staves around him 'clanked' as they came to rest on his back..and he stood from the chair..his stance, having become one of an aggressive nature..infact, his very demeanor seemingly changed just as quickly as the tone of the conversation began. "Then I agree..if you are unstable, brother..we will need another to lead us, in the event that you became so unstable as to put the family in harms way" His cloak opened and flailed behind him..the mythril breastplate and greaves he wore, shimmering brightly..true elven quality armor..his eyes, fixated upon Tracius. "Though I am of a mind with Veronika.." not adding the Lady..gutsy.."If my name is thrown in..I decline..leadership is something I couldn't do. Thereby.." He'd look over towards Hart, nodding to him slowly.."If it were put to a vote..then, the most capable I believe..would be brother Hart"
Arms crossing over his chest, those sharp eyes of his stared from one member to the next..finally, resting upon Tracius.."And I agree with Malachi..completely. The successor..would have to have the strength to not only resist your abilities..but be able to kill you"

He smiled as Very came close to him. He did always have a soft spot in his heart for her. Then he noticed her looking at him as she mentioned "knowing" who should be next. He took a deep breath hoping he was misreading things. But all that came to a halt the moment Savance spoke up. In that moment, his whole world had changed. Even if it wasn't the final decision, the fact several members agreed and spoke out on his behalf was surprising. He was more than a capable fighter, he was gifted... There was a reason no target could escape neither him nor Trac. Their styles were similar, yet different enough to compliment one another.
His expression quickly changed from the relaxed, take it with a grain of salt smile he always tried to carry. "You believe... that should be me brother?" He said to Savance, a look of almost disbelief. Then to Very, and quickly to Malachi, who while not "official" he was a very pivotal to the clan in his own way. While never being made officially a part of it. "And you? where to you stand on all this? And regardless of who becomes the successor, you will be needed. This clan's time of need is ahead and a gifted man such as yourself could prove more than useful." He looked then to Trac... "I'm not entirely informed on why, or if it was offered but maybe Malachi should finally become an official member. That of course, being your will and he accepts." He then lowered his head, deep in thought. "But me, take your place Trac... is that something YOU believe I'm capable of. You know I've always been a devote follower. I have carried the tenats through everything. But do you feel this is my place should the day that your absence becomes a reality? Which, if I may add I hope never comes." He looked to Trac, a single tear went down the right side of his face. " I have given you my word, to carry out your request, but do you think killing the closest thing to a father I've ever had I will come out the other side the same? Capable of holding the broken family when my own heart would be broken?"

Malachi turned his gaze toward the true drow and tilted his head slightly to the side. "Despite my fervent wish otherwise, I am unable to join with your clan. My own berserker tendencies aside, there is the very real possibility that, should I be imbued with the same magical tattoo the rest of you have, there would be a sort of magical feedback-loop that would occur between it and the Embosse Seed in my body. The best I could do would be to have a mundane one put on me, one that won't allow me to access the same abilities as the rest of you, save for Veronika, here." He gestured at her, adding, "Even without her 'Sunain Powers', she's far more suited than I to be among you. Like Tracius' taint, when I release my sword's runes' ability to control my rages, I lose control of my self, and could possibly wind up targeting the innocent. I do appreciate the thought, however."
He settled back in the chair, falling silent. After a few moments, he said, "I will support whatever decision is made, Tracius. Hart may match you in terms of physical combat ability, but I must express a concern of whether or not he could match your magics. If not, I wish to offer my own expertise in that area, at least in terms of teaching him a few spells that may come in handy, whether or not he is forced to use them on you."
