When she kisses him at first time, she could feel he was returning her kiss. But then suddenly she didn't feel the same way. Blinks as Malachi and Hart after saying their comments walk outside. She sighs as Tray without a word walked to his room. Lowering her face she shakes her head as she thinks she shouldn't have done that, but now she already did and there was no time to regret. She should control the way she acts when someone pushes her too hard, but she can't control it, always putting herself into trouble. she looks at Savance and nods.."See you tomorrow Savance, good night, she looks back where Mal and Hart are talking and smiles slightly..."Good night brothers.." she finishes her wine and walks over to her room, passing by Tray's door she stops for a moment , she hears a loud noisy, shivering she touches the door.."Tray...please, open the door" She thinks it would be better to talk to him before she goes to sleep..."I wanna say something.." she waits .."I am sorry.." her voice was really low, almost a whisper and she knows he can hear her even she wasn't saying anything.

Tracius was in the process of removing the shirt he was wearing when his elvish hearing picked up Very at the door. He sighed, then tossed the shirt onto the chair with the rest of his clothing. He moved through the moon- and star-lit room to the door, cracking it open to allow her entry, then turned to walk away. "Come in," he invited.
In the middle of the room, he turned to face the door, arms folded over his tightly muscled abdomen. The many scars of his assassin's lifestyle visible as white lines on a pale body. However, those scars were far less numerous than those on his psyche, one of which Very had inadvertently touched upon earlier. Yet, he was willing to forgive her for it, had already in fact. His expression was one of pensiveness, but not strictly because of her. It was because of his own reaction to it.

Truthfully..in spite of all the reasons for celebration..he couldn't find himself celebrating. Tracius..always the leader..was stepping down? Understandable, his reasoning..but..was it fate or destiny that commanded such a thing happen, right as the family had come together once again? Part of him couldn't believe the Gods would be so cruel..but then again, they always were fickle. While he was listening to everyone as they spoke..he did find himself..sitting alone, infront of a window, sipping at a goblet of elven mead he had found. The plate he had brought with him..filled with fruits, vegetables as well as a rather thick, juicy cut of steak..was placed on the window sill. Peering outside as though his very soul was left out there in the life he had found for himself before the reunion..he'd look over his shoulder every so often to reply to someone when they spoke directly to him. Only afterwards..was his attention back on the outdoors..as well as the 'guest' that seemed to follow him everywhere. ~Lajane..~ he thought to himself at one point, holding the goblet outwards from him, nodding..then taking a sip from it.
When Very said goodnight to him..he'd nod to her..noticing how she called him by his name and not brother as she did the other two. "Think I angered her" he whispered to himself, covering himself with the elvish cloak..the night air was getting chilly. ~Guess I deserved it~ he thought to himself, only then to pop a grape into his mouth and suckle on it. Placing the goblet down next to the plate..he'd cross his arms over his chest..and continued to stare outside.

Morrigan Darkheart
The winds had carried her far..only stopping to regain his strength a few times in various villages, but finally..her journey was coming to an end. The ancestrial home of the Sunains..the forest inwhich she stood..she could see the ruins as clear as day. The path had seen better days, to be sure..but, it wasn't something she was overly worried about. No..her mind was preoccupied with the possibly ongoing fight..one that might force her to defend herself against a clan that her clan was allies with. Thinking they might not take kindly to intrusion..she was ready for such a reaction. Besides..the Sunains were legendary assassins..and she herself was no slouch. Part of her..relished..in the thought of testing her skills against theirs!
Her cloak flailed in the light winds around her..her dark bangs falling over the left side of her face..pouty red lips curled into a smirk, vampyric fangs exposed just abit. Oh yes..this might've turned out to be a fun night indeed!
Standing in plain view in the middle of that path she found herself upon..she'd merely sigh..something of unknown origin 'detached' from her body, quickly moving behind the trees and foliage. Whatever it was..was shadowy, and staying hidden. When she'd look towards the way it went..bushes and leaves rattled as whatever it was seemed to be making its way further into the woods.
Her right hand rested on the hilt of her blade, rolling the palm over the smooth pummel..and waiting..just to see how long it might've taken someone to realize..the Sunains had a guest..or, perhaps to them..an intruder

Malachi's eyes turned toward the forest as the winds picked up. His eyes glowed softly as they slipped into the infrared spectrum. His acuity of vision in that spectrum was greater than even a true drow's was, thanks to the Embosse Seed. He could see a small, human-like shape among the trees that radiated far less heat than most humanoids would. Indeed, though it was warmer than the air around it, the figure could only be undead, as near as he could tell from this distance. He turned back toward Hart, then said in a soft tone just barely above a whisper, "It seems our first lesson is going to be a little earlier than expected. We have company in the forest. Get Savance. The two of you, see if you can intercept our visitor. I'll back you up, if you need it." If it could be avoided, he wished to not disturb Tracius with what was happening. He had enough on his mind.

As the door opens she looks up at him, tries a smile but it doesn't come. She watches the man walking away from the door and going to the middle of the room...slowly she walks in and closes the door, turning around she watches him ,his scars, she then sighs and shakes her head lowering her face..."Forgive me, I didn't mean...But you were..." she stops talking, and looks at him again...saying nothing else, slowly some tears roll down, her face was blushed. Slowly her eyes goes down again.."I know Tray...I know you don't feel the same way, but for a long time I can't see you as a brother, I see you as my hero, my protector, I see you as a man. But I understand I am only a sister for you " she tries not to cry in front of him, she was not sobbing but still she was already crying. "I know you love someone else, she is not here anymore but you love her still and now all this your going through" with the fabrica of the sleeve she dries her face. "I better go to my room, I won't bother you with this teenager thing. I believe someday someone will love me, right? " she nods at her own words and smiles sadly.."Forgive me , alright?" she walks over him and places her hand on his chest , on his heart..."I will love you forever, if I am not allowed to love you as a man, I will as my brother.." she looks up and slowly lifts herself kissing his face.."I won't dishonor your name anymore, I swear.." she moves away and looks outside..."The night is beautiful, I am better go for a walk" she folds her arms as she watches the night through the window.

Tracius quietly came up behind Veronika and put his hands on her shoulders. He leaned his face close to her hair, breathing in the scent of the last time she'd cleaned it mixed with the smells of the forest she'd been so recently travelling through. When he finally spoke, it was so softly that his breath barely stirred the strands of hair just in front of his mouth. "Dearest Very...I forgive you. You're right, as so often you are. I have restricted my feelings toward you to being the love one feels for a sister. At first, it was due to my love for Callia. Then, after her death, it was because I did not wish to dishonor her memory. Then, it became due to my cowardice."
His eyes stayed locked on the stars he was able to see over her head, through the window to the outside. After a moment's pause, he added, "And now...it is because of this curse. I do not know what precise emotions might trigger a reaction, nor what form such a reaction would take should the heightened emotions be from passion. Take heart, however..." At this, he gently placed a kiss on the top of her head, then continued, "I know it is time that I move on. If I should become rid of this taint upon my mind and soul, while keeping my life...well, one never knows what the future will bring."

She shivers as Tray's hands touch her shoulders, closing her eyes she listens as his words travel inside her mind, she was paying attention but at same time its softness make her fell dizzy...as she opens her eyes his figure were reflecting on the glass of the window, she watches him standing there behind her and smiles gently as he kisses her, when he finishes his words she turns around facing him, close but not close enough to push that great moment so hard, wishing this moment never ends, there is so much love and admiration envolved, she nods.."I understand Tray, really, I respect and I will wait, I have no idea what this curse is and what he will bring us but even I know nothing about love I know this, seeing how you love your Callia makes me believe it will never hurt me, so I will keep my feeling here", she places her hand over her chest " but I will try hard to ignore it here.." her fingertip points to her forehead, she holds him gently" and I will be here as your sister everytime you need me" she smiles closing her eyes, "I will respect you, this curse, our family and faith, no matter what it brings to us" she pulls away slowly and looks up at him, her arms around him still..." I always was the dramatic part of the family, but now I believe I need to grow up and stop being so stubborn and spoiled and become a woman...I must stop acting as a child to caught your attention..." she lifts herself once again, kissing his face, pulling her arms away she turns and looks outside...she sighs and whispers.." I hope future will be kind to us"

Tracius smiled sadly at her, then wrapped his arms around her from behind as she turned away. "With any luck," he said, "and with the blessings of the gods, the future will, indeed, be kind." He left unspoken the fact that he suspected that it was some counter-balance to his being revived from death, some way for the natural order to try and reassert itself through him.
He shivered slightly, a visceral reaction to a magical alarm being tripped as someone not of the Clan made an appearance on their grounds. He broke gently away, then moved over to where a large basin was set atop a concrete stand. He waved a hand over it, murmuring a few words of command. The water in the basin rippled and began to glow a bright blue, then clarified as the scrying device showed first the reactions of Malachi, Hart, and Savance, then shifted to show their visitor. A brow quirked over an eye turned from emerald green to turquoise by the light spilling upward from the bowl. "I believe that's Morrigan Darkheart. Very, come here...Take a look. What do you think she's up to?"

She smiles and holds her breath for a moment as he holds her so close, but then she notices his breath became different and more than that he moves away, she looks back at him and then she blinks as he approches of the basin, slowly her lips apart as the colors were reflecting on the ceiling, she looks up and then back to him knowing something was wrong. As he spokes she narrows her brows and walks over him, stops close to him and looks..."Morrigan, you mean the vampire one?" she looks at Tray and back to the basin.."I...well Tray, I believe she knows you would be able to know she was here, seems she is alone and you guys are far more strong and prepared against her, seems she is here to have a conversation, to bring information or something like this...I just do not understand why she is hiding.." she looks at Tray, "Want me to go to the front door, maybe she is there because she thinks we will think she is an intruder...If I receive her she will understand we want to know why she is here..." She looks into the basin again.."But I am afraid my brothers already know she is here and well...better I be fast...And you better stay here" she looks at him.."I am afraid you lose control, let's see first what she want, right?"

Tracius pondered over what Very said, then nodded in agreement. "Yes," he said. "You're right. If it were trouble she sought to bring, despite our long-standing friendship, she wouldn't be alone. She seems healthy, though a little haggard; a little hungry, perhaps. So, I do not think she is here for aid. I doubt, though, she'd strike against our brothers. However, I want you to stay for the moment. If it becomes necessary, we can go together."
He flashed a smile of amusement up at her, eyes sparkling with a strange light of mischievousness, "I want to see just how our brothers and Malachi handle this. Especially Hart. If worse comes to worst, I wish to see just how he might fare as my replacement. After all, the leader of the Sunain must, at times, be a diplomat as much as a warrior. Words are weapons, too. Besides, even if he should fail this little test, it may prove entertaining at the least."

She chuckles and shakes her head, poking his arm gently.."You enjoy all this , don't you? " she watches the figure again and then she looks at him.."True, words sometimes are more powerful and letal than a weapon, I believe Hart will be just fine " she smiles at him , enjoying the moment to have him only to herself, a selfish feeling but well he is always so busy with their brothers he wasn't able to spend sometime with her, her arms gently goes around his as she looks at the basin.."We will watch, if it becomes out of control we will go there to help, I can kick her ass if she hurt one of them.." she laughs as a long time she didn't do and looks at Tray, he knows she was kidding about the fact she is the only one not able to fight but it will change thou. "I am afraid I like the fight thing you know, who knows I won't become the more dangerous of our Clan someday.." she smiles at him, her face was fresh and for the first time in so long she was looking like the young woman she is, full of life and joy.

At that, the amusement left Tracius' eyes, a troubled expression replacing it. "Very...I leave the extent of the training up to you: whether you wish to learn methods of taking life or not is strictly your choice. However, if I had my say, I would not have you learn any methods of assassination. Nor will I be sending you on any assignments, even if you learn how to kill. I would not have your hands be stained by even one drop of blood, unless it were in defense of yourself or the family. It was out of concern for you, especially after the attack you were nearly the victim of not too long ago, that I asked that you be trained for combat."
With that, he took a few steps back from the scrying basin, his body still lit by the light spilling from it. He struggled with the hesitancy he felt at revealing what he was about to, but he knew the importance of it. He uttered a few words of an illusionary spell, one that was based in truth. Starting at the tips of his fingers, extending up his hands, over his wrists, up his arms and shoulders, spread a dark stain that disturbingly resembled dried blood. And, it didn't stop at his shoulders. The stain spread slowly across either side of his torso until the two stains became one, then began to spread down his muscled abdomen. "Every singular inch of the stain you see," he explained, "represents a single life that I've snuffed out. If I were to remove my pants, you would see the stain spread down to my feet."
As he spoke, the stain began to spread slowly up his neck, face, and head, stopping but a few widths of a man's finger from his hairline. "I have killed many. If the illusionary stain were to completely cover my body, it would then darken in sections similarly to those of the original covering. Fortunately, I have not been that prolific of a killer..."
With that, he dismissed the energy of the illusionary spell. "While that was but an illusion," he said, "I feel those stains all across my body, across my soul, as tangibly as the blood I wash from my hands any time I've killed. I would spare you that, dearest Veronika."

She lifts a brow as he moves away and lifts both when he starts talking to her, but them sudenly her smile fades, her lips apart in she frowns as she watches the stain covering slowly his body, she barely breath as she tries to understand at first what he was doing and then she does, her eyes slowly moves with the stain, she nods slightly and moves her face away, avoiding the view, she walks away and looks outside again as she hears him, when he finishes by the glass she sees that his figure is back to the original form, she holds herself and shakes her head..when Tray finishes she doesn't turn to look at him.."I understand that, and I was trying to make a joke and relax, I will learn to fight to protect myself Tray, I know I need to learn this.." she turns away and looks at him.."I know you, I know what you are and if this man you are destined to be is an assassin even you try I don't fear you, beacuse I know you, I know what you did to me and I also know you want to protect me from this ...I am asking you now, don't do that anymore, this magic thing, because no matter what you try to show me, I know how much all those you killed bother you, but we can't change this, we can't change what you are and even your body changes it won't matter to me, I know you from inside and this is all that matters to me. I will do as you ask me, all you ask me." she smiles sadly turning to watch outside again..." I do not pretend to be an assassin, unless I need and I know you want to keep me away from all this evil and bloody way of life, I will stay away but I fear the time You won't be able to protect me , I fear I am so much envolved with you that I will be just like you, somehow I am your spawn, probably the most attatched one..." her voice was calm and low, her tone was showing him she was self-assured.

Tracius frowned a bit, unhappy with himself for having disturbed Very so. "I'm sorry," he said softly. "I just wanted to demonstrate just how much an assassin carries with them, even if most of the ones killed had deserved their death in one way or another. Worse, not all of the stains come from those that were evil..."
He turned back to the scrying bowl, his eyes locked on the surface, but he was actually looking past the images imparted there. Or, rather, he was looking inside of himself. "Perhaps," he said distantly, unaware of speaking aloud, "the Taint I carry is a reflection of the stains on my soul. Perhaps it is my penance, my punishment for the blood I've spilt.
"I do know that it's why I want to protect my family, my Veronika, from the things that I may do, from the things I've done. All of them...Savance, Hart, our disappeared brothers Asher and Valson...even Malachi...none of them carry the burden of death and violence that I do. None of them, should I perform a similar illusion to reveal the stains of blood they're responsible for spilling, would be as covered as I."
As he said this, as he dwelt upon the darkness of his sins, his voice changed, becoming deeper, more resonant. It was as though another person was speaking through his mouth, saying, "I have destroyed worlds. I started by wiping out villages...I've killed firstborns while their mamas watch. I turn cities into salt. I even, when I feel like it, rip the souls from little girls, and from now till kingdom come, the only thing you can count on in your existence is never understanding why." His eyes flickered from the turquoise the reflected light from the scrying bowl to a darker shade of crimson, their whites nearly vanishing entirely into pure black. An eerie glow of yellow appeared in their pupils as they focused on Veronika, and a sly smirk appeared on his lips. "I sang the first hymn when the stars were born. Not that long ago, I announced to a young woman, Mary, who it was she was expecting. On the other hand, I've turned rivers into blood. Kings into cripples. Even more cities to salt. Then, when my Father accepted me into his fold, I turned my hand to entire worlds, burning them one by one. How many more must burn? Just the one. This one. I'm not greedy. I just want things to go back to the way they were before. Before the lie. Before the talking monkeys..."
