Oni didn't even look at the woman as she gripped his arms, so great was his humiliation at what he'd almost done. He knew that here, face was less important than it was at his homeland. She let go, so he continued to his room, where he took off all of his climbing equipment, stashing it away. He knew that Lord Milenko was correct: it wouldn't do to estrange potential allies...
Milenko bowed once more to the Lady Nathallie as she swept from the room, saying to her back, "If there's anything that I or my followers might do to make further amends, please let me know. I wish only to ensure that there are no ill feelings following this...lapse of judgement on my part." As he spoke, he took Kenryo into his gaze, letting the larger man know that he was included in this offer. He then went to his own room, sighing deeply once he shut his door.
Talon went to where Ellena stood at the door, taking with him the bottle he'd seen her pouring her drink from. The scent that wafted from the opening caused his nose to wrinkle slightly, but he withstood it, simply standing there, waiting upon her pleasure. From her expression when she came into the room, he could see that something had nearly angered her beyond control. Perhaps he could mollify her...

She turns a little bit as she looks at the man standing there, her eyes moves to the bottle and back to him, she tilts her head slightly, "I wish you were able to speak" she smiles sadly as she hands the glass over him so he was able to fill it.."She sighs as he does and looks away.."I like watching people living their lives, they are always so busy, working , taking care of their family, the women with the children.." she shakes her head as she looks at Talon again..."Wanna drink your Ale, now? Go over there, get yourself some, make me company." she looks at the stairs wondering about Ken, he was queely different after all thoses things, she sighs and drinks her 'wine', licking her lips, blinking from time to time, trying to stop the stubborn tears, they were there because she was nervous, mad, frustrated, a mix of senses and scents around. Observing a young man passing by the ntrance of the Inn, she lits her eyebrow, the man nods to her and she nods in return, seems it was time to go for a walk later, get some fresh air, she looks at Talon again, she smiles once more wondering why the man was being so kind with her. Would he be so kind if he knew whsat she was? She sips again as her eyes moves to the stairs and they remain there as she goes lost in thoughts. Both men were very loyal to Milenko, and later also she was going to have a decent conversation with him.

Talon set the bottle on the table next to the door, then went to the bar, drew himself an ale, then grabbed a parchment and quill and ink before going back to where Nathallie stood. He sat down at the table, then began to write on the parchment quickly. He then pushed the paper across the table, revealing a neatly written message, saying, ~Lady Ellena, I can speak, but I have chosen to only do so with my long-missing brother, Talin. Because of the circumstances of our childhood, we've discovered that it would be safer thus. So, please don't take it as being rude. If you please, feel free to speak your mind and cares; it should be obvious that I shall not speak of anything you say.~

She blinks as her eyes moves to the piece of paper, she smiles and walks close to him , as well sitting down, places the glass on the table and then gently she gets the paper reading it, she smiles and looks at him, she nods.."I understand, Talon, right?" she sighs and gently places the paper down, her fingertips slowly sliding around the neatly letter as she was writing those words again.."I am used about it, for a long time I have been living with all kind of people, creatures, I had some slaves once, but I never treat then as slaves thou." She shakes her head and smiles as she remembers.."Savance was the most shy of all, very submissive, obedient of all" she sighs " I am a terrible person, if I can call myself this way Talon, I hurt people but not physically, I hurt their souls, their hearts, I know I bruise his soul deeply, sp profound that for sure he didn't remember me..I have no idea where he is..."Let's get to the start, my name is Nathallie, not Ellena, my friends call me Nath, and don't bother calling me Lady, alright? Sometimes I feel I am far from it" she smiles gently and sadly as she lifts her eyes from the paper to him and she sips her wine.."I like you Talon, you have a good heart." She sighs and sips from her glass, licking her lips as she looks inside his eyes" Do you know what I am, Talon?"

Talon smiled a bit at Nath, then gently took the paper back, writing on it, ~Slavery...something I have reason to detest. However, if kept with love rather than fear, and the slave is treated well, then I cannot speak against it. As for what you are, beyond being a beautiful woman, I do not know, nor have reason to particularly care. You've been kind to us, and to the customers I've listened to, so if there's anything more to you, it cannot be very bad.~
He then slid the paper back to Nath, then smiled as he took a sip from his ale. His expression hid his true feelings, ones resurfacing after many years thanks to the conversation about slaves. He reflected on his experiences as a mistreated slave when he was a child...the many beatings, the times he was forced to fight for his very life in the fighting pits, where he'd learned much of his fighting techniques. He sighed, then set the mug down again, running the tips of two of his fingers through the condensation on the side of the glass.

Nath's fingers gently touches the paper as it slides slwoly over her. She reads it and smiles, she looks at him, "A good heart and a gentleman" she chuckles at same time, the images by his thoughts so unpleasant, she sighs and looks at him.." People say they like me, because they fear what they don't know, at same time, its my nature to have people fascinated by my feactures, it's what happens to all of us" she drinks the rest of wine and touches his hand gently.."Thank you for your help, for distract, for placing my emotions back together" Her eyes moves to the stair again.."Sometimes I feel I push him to hard, he is going through so much and all I think is that I want him to be here, after so long I still wish him to be a hundred percent mine, just once again only mine" she sighs again and looks at Talon..."I am selfish and jealous with all, and he is not 'mine' anymore, he doesn't belong to me anymore, after all, he found his own way and fate just made him pass by mine once again...soon, for sure, he will return to his path." She looks at the stairs and back to Talon.."Sorry, I don't want bother you with this things" she smiles and sighs as she leans back, her eyes moving to his fingertips, she stands and walks over to the bar, as she returns to the table as well grabs the bottle of 'wine', but this time she serves him, filling his glass, and as well hers with it. She sips and coughs, blinking and making a 'urgh' face.."I forgot how strong it is.." she chuckles and sips it again just after she lifts the glass nodding..."To fate which is bringing good people around me again"..she smiles and drinks.

(Kenryo)
As everyone left the room he pushed himself off the window. Walking over to the door he slammed it shut. Taking in a deep heavy breath he showed his teeth as he began to grind them in frustration before sighing himself. He was trying to be understanding to all this. He in just the short time he has been mortal was forced to make some important changes, if only to survive. He pulled a large chair in the room over by the window so he could sit and look out. Bringing his hand up, he dropped his chin into it and gazed out. He wasn't without sympathy to Milenko, it is obvious whatever form he has taken had robbed him of his memories. Except a few which led him to know who Ken really was. Watching what little he could see happening outside from his window he started to replay some of what Dukal had talked with him about. In those moments he thought about just relishing in the human moment. This brought him to think of Milenko... well Shakaar. The other horsemen in the building....
Ken knew that his powers had a burden in their own way. Something he failed to contain once, and made a personal vow to never let it lose control again. He also thought about if failed to reacquire them , and his powers were past to another... what could that do to the world. And worse, what would happen if both Ken and Shakaar lost their powers. And people not so equipped to have them gain them. He remembered a time when Shakaar was a darker soul for the power he carried around. And that was a strong willed person who was overtaken by the power. What could that turn into? He whispered "I saw what I did without even leaving my home..."
He thought to himself "If simply for the sake of everyone, we are the best option. We have learned how to use them, contain them until recently when it comes to myself." He sat there for a few more minutes, and gained his composure. Then thought to himself "This is no time for a stubborn fit of anger... this needs to be resolved and soon." With that he stood up and walked to the door. Taking another deep breath, he opened it and headed for Milenko's room.
Once getting there, knocked on the door. "If you would hear it, I think this should get out of the way now... versus later..." He said hoping Milenko would give him the audience.

Talon thought for a few moments, then turned the paper over and began to write. He wrote for a long time, then passed the paper over, blushing slightly as he took a drink from his refilled ale while he waited for her to read it. It said:
~I cannot pretend to know what it is you've gone through, nor what your large friend has, but I do know what I've been through. Sometimes, the only way to get through something difficult is to push hard through it. Sometimes one has to push themselves, other times it takes friends to do the pushing. When it's a friend that does it, even if it angers you, it's proof that they care and want you to succeed. Your friend may have to remind you of that fact, that they're only doing it out of a great love for you, so that your anger can be reduced.
As for being possessive of what is yours, especially your friends, it stems naturally from a deep well of love. I've only known you for a few hours, but I can tell that much about you. You love your friends and lovers almost equally. They become family to you. Keep giving that love, but understand too that sometimes the greatest love you can express is letting them grow on their own, even if it's not exactly by your side. If they return your love, they will understand and appreciate that. Remember: love is a spring that does not diminish when you give from it to others. The more you take out of it, the more it replenishes itself.
As for fate, well, I've grown to distrust such an abstract concept. Surely, there is some guiding principle that lays out one's destiny, but I've learned that it is up to we mortals to determine the path that takes us to it. Sometimes, you climb the mountain with someone at your side, you travel along the same path together for a time. But, we all make our way alone, ultimately, because it is our own choices that determine what that path is.~
Upstairs, Milenko rose from the chair he was sitting in and strode to the door when Kenryo knocked. He opened it wide, inviting the larger man in. "Please," he said. "Enter and be comfortable."

Ken gave a small nod as he open and invited him. Facing the usual challenge of looking ridiculous getting threw the door. As he came inside, he went over towards one of the chairs and sat down. He took another deep breath...."Well... what do you want to know? How can I help you remember?"

She smiles and watches Talon as he writes, and then she hears Ken's steps and the door opening, she lifts an eyebrow as he enters Milenko's bedroom. She sighs and smiles slightly, then she locks her senses, giving them privacy. Her eyes move back to Talon, she sees the long letter as the man slides it to her, she places her glass down and reads it, her eyes become teared. She smiles and lifts her eyes from the letter to Talon.." Beautiful, I am so glad you see me this way , you are right, mortals have the free will" she smiles and places the letter on the table then she places her elbow on it as her chin rests on her hand,"I am not ..." she sighs.."But I still have the right to chose my own path." she smiles beautifuly at him. "I am delighted by your letter, you are very kind" gently Nathallie's hand touches Talon's.."Was a pleasure to meet you, even we have a different path. Too bad you will leave here soon, I would love to have more time to know you and have long conversations with you...and since we don't have much time I would love spend the time we have with you this afternoon and after dinner we can meet here and talk..What do you think?" she gently takes her heand away and grabs her glass, drinking the Ale slowly, not sure how effect this drink will have in her body and mind..

Milenko sat on the edge of the bed, cocking his head in consideration. "Well, not to put too fine a point on it," he said. "What I want to know is what you know about my true history. I'm missing the last twenty-five years of my memory, and it seems I'm missing much larger gaps that might be filled with false information. To put it in short: who am I?"
Talon smiled at the lady again. He didn't really consider himself "kind"...after all, there was the fact of what he did for a living...but he did have the tendency to "tell" truth when and as he saw it. He supposed that such could be seen as "kind", especially in light of his recent act of helping those orphans in that town where he'd first encountered the ronin and Milenko, but he was only doing as his conscience dictated.
He took another sheet of paper, then wrote on it, ~Well, if my employer finds what he's looking for quickly enough, perhaps I may come back some day. My path lies alongside his for the time being. I would be happy, though, to find that yours and mine might traverse the same course for a time.~

She smiles and reads it.."So would I, Talon. I believe your employer already found at least some answers, I hope he finds it , really do" she gently smiles to him, "Please, there is no need for you to stay here, I am sure your tired and need to rest as they do, I do too, this day was too intense, a lot of things at same time" she finishes her drink. "This think is really strong" chuckles " I am going to my bedroom, just call if you need something " she stands and grabs as well grabing his letters.." Make yourself at home..." she leans down and places a kiss on his cheek.." then she smiles as she whispers.."See you soon alright? " she kisses his face once again and gently caresses it as she leans back.."Thank you Talon" She winks and takes the letters with her, she walks over to the stairs and then she stops and looks at him once again as she desappears downstairs.

Talon watched as the beautiful lady walked away, contemplating following her as he drank down the remaining liquid in his glass. It did seem that she was inviting him to do so, after all. However...he did have his duty to consider.
Duty?! he thought to himself in surprise. It seems the foreigner is having more of an effect on me than I thought. Any other time, I'd chase a beauty like that from one end of Creation to the other. Yet, now I hesitate. Is it the thought of 'duty' that causes it, or something more? Mister Milenko has shown me greater kindness and respect than I deserve, certainly more than I've ever been shown by anyone else, save my brother. And, now, it seems that I've discovered another capable of similar amounts of compassion.
With a shrug, both of his shoulders and in his mind, Talon sighed and rose from his seat, taking the glasses he and Nathallie had used, along with several others sitting on nearby empty tables, and headed toward the bar. Quickly, he washed them clean of the dregs of the drinks they'd contained, then headed up the stairs.
He stopped next to Oni's door and knocked softly.
Oni opened his door, narrowing his eyes as he looked at who'd knocked. "What is it, thief?" he asked harshly, obviously still yet in no mood to entertain any foolishness from the man.
Talon made a few motions with his hands, indicating he wished to come in and have a few "words" with the ronin.
Oni's eyes became nearly closed, he squinted so much. "Very well," he said. "I shall be watching you." He moved aside, allowing Talon to slip past him and the door before closing it behind him, keeping the thief in sight at all times.
Talon sat on a chair, pulling some paper and a quill and ink pot near him on the table next to the chair. He wrote quickly, then shoved the paper toward Oni.
"This..." said Oni, his slanted eyes widening in surprise as he took in the words that Talon had written, both at what they said, and at the fact that this gaijin had written them in kanji. "A truce between us?" His eyes flicked up to take in Talon's serious expression in silence.
Together, they nodded. They had a common duty, after all.

It was times like this that he wished he didn't remember. For Shakaar to only think he was missing 25 years.... True history... They could spend a year talking of history and only scratch the surface. "I need to point out one thing, before anything else. You aren't missing twenty five years, your missing millenniums. You and I were around before most of the mountains that scar the surface of our world. We saw the creation, and we were meant to be it's harvesters. You are my nephew Shakaar Galeed, the final horsemen of the apocalypse. I believe that you, like myself did something to make the hierarchy want to strip you of those powers. Which reduced you to what you are now. Think you know power as you are? We were gods by comparison..."
He took a small pause to glance out the window. "We, have been a part of almost every major conflict that has plagued this planet. We both have done regrettable things, but always for the greater good. I need you to remember this with what I'm about to say. We need to reacquire our powers, and I say that with the heaviest of hearts. It is a burden I wouldn't wish on our worst enemy. The power, but temptation that comes with it. We both have slipped, but managed to contain the.... beast I'll call it that it puts inside of you. But I find myself afraid for the first time that I can remember. Because if, that power goes to the wrong person, it would be the end..."

Milenko listened to all the large man had to say. He sat there, silently stunned. However, he somehow knew that, despite the seemingly fantastic nature of the words he'd heard, there was truth to them. He looked down at his hands, at the rings adorning their fingers. Power...on par with that of gods? Perversely, he was very glad that the intolerant Father Du Port was not here to hear what was being said, he'd claim it as sacrilege. Even more perverse, he actually chuckled at the irony.
Sobering, he glanced up at Kenryo and considered the further implications of the man's revelation. "So, what you're saying is," he said slowly. "We, you and I, are....angels? What happened to remove that status, that power, from us?"
"Furthermore, how do we get it back?"
